Choose the Standards Which You Live By

February 18, 2019

The world has many standards that often take our attention away from the will of God. We are keenly aware of what other people have in their lives, but are we fully aware of what we have in ours?

God has placed something very special inside each of us. He has given us the power to transform and be transformed through faith and obedience.

Before the earth was even created, the Lord already had a Divine Plan for us. Not many people are aware of this, and even believers tend to forget. That is why a lot of people around the world are stuck with feelings of depression, purposelessness, frustration, and defeat. They think that their life is completely lost in the chaos of the world and there is no way out of their dire situation.

If you feel that you are one of these people, you need to shift your life to God’s will. You need to filter what standards you will live by. Some of the world’s standards may not be very beneficial in your life, so you need to screen which ones are not helpful.

There are contributing factors which shape our being–success, status, outward appearance, material possessions, etc. Standards like these hold a place in every individual. They affect our way of thinking. But, always remember that these are things of the world. These aren’t permanent and they will fade as the world will perish.

God’s word, on the other hand, is eternal. When we align our lives to the will of God, we open ourselves to receiving all the glorious things He has for us. He has prepared for us divine blessings that will help us on the path to fulfilling our destinies.

“Each of you should use whatever gift you have received to serve others, as faithful stewards of God’s grace in its various forms. If anyone speaks, they should do so as one who speaks the very words of God. If anyone serves, they should do so with the strength God provides, so that in all things God may be praised through Jesus Christ. To him be the glory and the power for ever and ever. Amen.”

1 Peter 4:10-11

Let’s choose to follow God’s standard by being faithful to His word through our thoughts and actions.
