Stay Fit This Season

May 20, 2020

While most of us are at home and keeping ourselves safe, some of us forget the importance of regular exercise.

You don’t need the gym or the guidance of a trainer to stretch and strengthen your muscles. You can do exercises even when you’re at home; either alone or with your partner or spouse or your children. Exercise can be integrated into everyday household chores, or into fitness challenges with your children as a fun family bonding activity.

Even in the Bible, we are reminded to stay fit and take care of our bodies. We are the temple of God and we should keep ourselves healthy as God had intended.

Do you not know that you are the temple of God and that the Spirit of God dwells in you?

If anyone defiles the temple of God, God will destroy him. For the temple of God is holy, which temple you are.

1 Corinthians 3:16-17 (NKJV)

We must make it a point to stay fit in this season so that our bodies can fight off any infection that is trying to enter our system.

To stay fit is to be ready for what God is bringing into our lives. An angel may be coming to bring you blessings, but if you are not strong enough to get up and answer his knock on your door, you might miss it.

Or do you not know that your body is the temple of the Holy Spirit who is in you, whom you have from God, and you are not your own?

For you were bought at a price; therefore glorify God in your body and in your spirit, which are God’s.

-1 Corinthians 6:19-20

Stay fit to be ready for divine opportunities.

Exercise and live healthily to glorify God!
