WATCH VIDEO INVITATION

The DEBORAH GENERATION I-ARISE is a CALL for women to begin to stand and take a step of faith. Women from all walks of life are invited—whether you are a businesswoman, a career woman, a stay at home mom, a single mom, a widow—the hand of God is pointing to YOU to come out to hear what ‘thus saith the Lord’…

On Saturday morning (October 20), we will have ‘women only’ conference. We are doing this because we want to deal and focus on women’s issues. I want to make sure that we will get all the women of God to come out because what we want to do is to get them to experience and engage in workshops that are going to bless the people of God:

Workshops dealing with your financial situation

Workshops dealing with your family

Workshops dealing with your relationships

Workshops dealing with your health

Workshops dealing with your well-being as a woman of God

It is with my desire and my hope that this workshop will wake up your heart and mind and let you know that it is time to arise.

Is there going to be a word from the Lord?

Yes! There will be a word from the Lord—a word that is tailor-made to God’s people; a word that is going to shift and bring change in every situation.

Who will lead the event?

The event will open with Bishop/Doctor/Prophetess T.L. Penny, who has the word of God in her mouth and will speak forth the word of the Lord. Prophetess Mascareen Cohen from Jacksonville, Florida will also be there to help you let go and let God have His way in your life. I, personally, will close out this amazing powerful conference and bring you what ‘thus saith the Lord’.

What are the Prophetic Instructions:

  1. Bring a brand new pair of shoes on Friday night to lay at the altar and to pick up on the Sunday Afternoon service.
  2. Every woman is to wear pink.

Come out and be a part of this event! Know that God has not forgotten us; instead, know that we are truly remembered.

The Deborah Generation is arising! We will win the battle and we will be victorious!

Seek The Right Treasures

God is always looking out for His children. He has shown us the door to redemption through Jesus Christ. But it is up to us whether to enter or to stay in the darkness.

Many of God’s people today are lost, confused and deceived by the call of earthly pleasures and material possessions. They seek their own interests instead of seeking that of Jesus Christ. Most of us live in a society that places too much importance on money and material things. As human beings, there is nothing wrong with providing for oneself and one’s family; but if you turn away from those who are in need, you neglect your Christian duty to your neighbor.

“Let each of you look out not only for his own interests, but also for the interests of others.” – Philippians 2:4

God wants us to love one another, pray for one another, and help one another. It is a simple and easy instruction that most of us find so hard to do. God gives us a chance every day to take up this challenge and make a difference in the lives of others. Having a close relationship with God can help us discern the right thing to do and break free from the temptations that are laid before us.

The Bible tells us not to store up treasures on earth, but to store up treasures in heaven. Let us seek the right treasures and live in the grace of our Father up high. Our obedience to His word will bring us joy and peace.

How to Start to Serve God

We may have our faith, but we also need to put our beliefs into action. God has given us, humans, a set of teachings and commandments to follow. Our faith becomes stronger when we listen to God’s word and follow His will.

God has given us a perfect example through the life of His only beloved Son, Jesus Christ. Jesus’ life on earth was a life filled with faith and service to God. We are all called to be just like Him—selfless, obedient, loving, merciful, compassionate and forgiving.

Let us inject these qualities in our daily life and show the world what it truly means to be a Christian. We were already greatly blessed because we have come to know God and His glory. It is our turn now to help others have a relationship with Jesus Christ.

God may use you to pursue people who are lost and confused, who need help and support, or who need love and attention. Allow the Spirit of the Lord to work in you and through you to bring these people back to God. You will be guided in knowing and doing what is right through the power of the Holy Spirit. The only thing you have to do, is will it.

The promise of help from the Holy Spirit can be found in John 14:15-17:

“If you love Me, keep My commandments. And I will pray the Father, and He will give you another Helper, that He may abide with you forever— the Spirit of truth, whom the world cannot receive, because it neither sees Him nor knows Him; but you know Him, for He dwells with you and will be in you.”

Jesus tells us that to love God, means to love others. One cannot go without the other. We are pleasing God when we are pleasing our brothers and sisters through giving help and kindness to them.

Yes, it is our privilege to serve God and serve others. It is our Christian duty to show kindness towards all of God’s earthly creation and mercy towards those who have wronged us. To serve God begins with good knowledge of our faith, and applying it in our daily life to bring goodness into the world around us.

Overcoming Fear

There is one tried and tested way that can help people in overcoming fear: Faith in God.

God is our protector. He is our rock, our shield, and our salvation. We can take refuge in Him whenever we are persecuted by troubles and insecurities. In our earthly existence, we are bound to encounter many challenges that can strike us down and leave us feeling fearful of what’s to come. But with God on our side, we should have nothing to fear!

Fear is often an instrument of the enemy to prevent us from living in peace with the Spirit of God. Fear can make us do something that takes us away from the path of righteousness. Because of fear, some people resort to sin, thinking that it will be the solution. Sin, however, will only create more problems for people in the long run, both in this world and the next.

While fear can make people do wrong things, it can also prevent people from doing the right things. Because of fear, some people neglect to do their duty as Christians. Have you ever experienced fear in expressing your faith in public? Or have you ever feared standing up for what is right amongst your friends?

Fear is found everywhere. A simple example can be found in the simplest of settings: in the classroom. When a little boy sees another child being bullied, he fears that if he says something, he, too, will be bullied. The same scenario can be seen in the highest levels of government and business industries. Though it may be difficult, we must always stand by what is right. As Christians, we should not only limit our faith to prayer, we must also put it in action.

God will always be on our side. The key to overcoming fear is to remember God’s promise of protection. The Bible says in Deuteronomy 31:6, “Be strong and of a good courage, fear not, nor be afraid of them: for the Lord thy God, he it is that doth go with thee; he will not fail thee, nor forsake thee.”God will preserve your life in the midst of trouble. Have faith in Him and don’t let fear get in the way of your own great destiny.

How to Strengthen a Marriage

Even for those who have been married for several years, some couples still desire to know how to strengthen a marriage.

Unlike fairy tales and romance novels, marriage doesn’t automatically come with “happily-ever-after”. Marriage, like any other relationship, takes a lot of work. It is difficult at times, but we should never give up or let the enemy tempt us into sin and wrongdoings.

As Christians, we have one powerful weapon to fight against the attacks on our marriages—our relationship with God. When God is at the center of your married life, you and your spouse are blessed and protected by His everlasting love. When you live out Christian values and lifestyles in your marriage, your marriage becomes stronger and you both are easily able to say “no” to evil or temptation.

Marriage is rooted in God. Most people have forgotten this because of the changes in society and worldly thinking. In the Sacrament of Marriage, God puts two people together to live out a beautiful family life and share this world with each other. In the Bible, Jesus also spoke about marriage:

“For this reason a man shall leave his father and mother and be joined to his wife, and the two shall become one flesh’; so then they are no longer two, but one flesh. Therefore what God has joined together, let not man separate.” – Mark 10:7-9

The same is said in Genesis 2:24. The Bible tells us a lot about marriage, including the things that each spouse must and must not do. It may be a challenging task for us, humans, to follow God’s commandments, but we have 24/7 access to divine guidance and support from the Holy Spirit.

Marriage works best when each person is fully committed to his or her relationship with God. And as a couple lives out their married life, they can draw strength and faith from each other.

Two are better than one, Because they have a good reward for their labor. For if they fall, one will lift up his companion. But woe to him who is alone when he falls, For he has no one to help him up. – Ecclesiastes 4:9-10

Some couples take it for granted, but marriage is a blessing. Put God always at the center of your marriage to keep it going strong and filled with happiness.

Do Not Ignore the Call of God

Have you ever experienced what it is like to be ignored?

Most mothers who have adolescent children have experienced this at one point or another. It may not always be intentional, but sometimes children do ignore the call of their parents.

In the same way, we sometimes ignore the call of God, our Heavenly Father, to do what is just and righteous. We are all children of God, and it hurts our loving Father whenever we choose not to do His will. Worldly things often lead us into thinking that we can navigate this world by ourselves. But in the end, we will realize that it is God who truly knows what is best.

As the Scripture says in Proverbs 19:21, “Many are the plans in a person’s heart, but it is the Lord’s purpose that prevails.” God has given us a set of teachings and commandments in order to guide us towards leading a life of peace, joy and happiness. The reason why so many people today are distraught and drowning in their troubles is because they fail to listen to the Word of God.

When we were born into this world, it was God who was holding our hand as we took our first steps on earth. As we grew older, a lot of worldly distractions made us pull our hand farther and farther away from God. We are fooled into thinking that we can stand alone. And when we stumble, some of us return to God; but some of us go their own way, leaving them lost, in pain and in despair.

Always keep God close to your heart and listen to His Word. We will never lose our way if we do not ignore the call of God and heed His instructions. God loves you and He is always within your reach.

Achieving True Beauty

There are so many different products in the market that claim to improve one’s physical beauty. Only a few are affordable, the rest have prices that are unbelievable! That is why most women save up just to buy a beauty product they really want, thinking that it would bring them beauty and happiness.

As if the plethora of products are not enough, there are also various services and procedures that claim to make a person beautiful. These services/procedures are not only expensive, but they also take time to do. And some, like cosmetic surgery, require even more time for healing.

It is clear that people are willing to invest their time and money just to make themselves beautiful. But people often forget that true beauty lies within one’s spirit.

Charm is deceptive, and beauty is fleeting; but a woman who fears the Lord is to be praised.” –Proverbs 31:30

A woman who has faith in the Lord and follows His word is more beautiful than any other. She has the all the good qualities that is desirable in the eyes of man. She shows kindness in her words and deeds and the light in her eyes reveals the grace of God in her life. This inner beauty lasts longer than any man-made product, service, or procedure.

As the Apostle Paul wrote in his instructions on worship,  “I also want the women to dress modestly, with decency and propriety, adorning themselves, not with elaborate hairstyles or gold or pearls or expensive clothes, but with good deeds, appropriate for women who profess to worship God.” (1 Timothy 2:9-10).

If we can invest our time and money with our outward appearance, we should also invest in making our souls beautiful. Invest your time in prayer and reading God’s Word. Use your resources to help others in need and spread the word of the Lord.

Seek true beauty today and become beautiful in the eyes of God and others.

Are You Walking in the Light of His Presence?

Blessed are those who have learned to acclaim you, who walk in the light of your presence, Lord.

Psalm 89:15

To be blessed means to be divinely favored, happy, or contented. We all want to be blessed. Don’t you? Most people don’t want to pass up on God’s favor, and you probably don’t either. If we acclaim God, we are blessed. To acclaim Him means to applaud Him or welcome Him with glorious sounds or shouts of approval and joy.

If we want to be blessed, we also need to walk in the light of God’s presence. If we walk in the light, we avoid the darkness of sin with all its consequences. We seek God. We obey Him because we know the “exceptions” to our obedience bring heartache.

When we wake up to praise and worship music instead of an alarm clock, we can start the day in the light of the presence of the Lord. As we read our Bible each morning, we can also walk in the light of His presence. The habit of reading the Bible before breakfast also places a person in the light of the Lord’s presence soon after getting up.

Another way that demonstrates our walk in the light of the Lord’s presence is our fellowship with one another. Fellowship means we look forward to going to church and church events with our community. We all know how important it is to go to church and praise Him with our fellow church mates. Together in fellowship, we pray to God and thank Him for all the blessings He has given us and for forgiving us on our sins.

Dear God, the desire of my heart is to be blessed.

I acclaim your glory and walk in the light of your presence.

Amen.

Faith and Goodness Can Save Us

Have you accepted Jesus as your savior? Have you let Him control your life as you accepted Him as your God? Do you think that you can be saved now? Let us find out how we can be saved.

When we accept Jesus as our savior, we are committing ourselves to Him and by doing this, we are called Christians. As a Christian, we will have the Holy Spirit act in our lives; we will change and become a better person. Our vices will be stopped accordingly to God’s will. We will be having what we call “FAITH”.

Mark 10:52 “Go,” said Jesus, “your faith has healed you.” Immediately he received his sight and followed Jesus along the road.

Faith can change everything within us. Good works and positive changes in your life are a result of your faith. God can change you through your faith. It’s not easy for us to change, but only faith in God can help us.

Indicators that you are a good Christian:

  1. You are kind-hearted and slow to anger.
  2. You are not involved in any vices.
  3. You are honest and you never speak any lies.

God loves all His people. He wants us to be saved. He knows that it is not easy for us to follow what the Bible says, but it is possible. God will help us to do so. We just need to stand in our faith and believe in Christ alone.

Life is an examination, full of tests and challenges. Our life should have foundation in able for us to be strong in times of trials. We are called by Jesus to prosper and to win the victory.

Partnership Requires Action

“The LORD had said to Abram, “Go from your country, your people and your father’s household to the land I will show you. “I will make you into a great nation, and I will bless you; I will make your name great, and you will be a blessing. I will bless those who bless you, and whoever curses you I will curse; and all peoples on earth will be blessed through you.”(Genesis 12:1-3)

Partnership requires action. The first action of Abraham was obedience to leave his father, mother and relatives and go to an unknown land on God’s word alone. Abraham had to leave his comfort zone, his area of influence and dominance. He had to be obedient to God, leave certainty, and part with his ego to go to an unknown, unfamiliar destination. Abraham was considered righteous because he staggered not at the promises of God (Romans 4:20). It was not an easy decision to make, yet Abraham did it. He took action in his relationship with God and God reciprocated.

Partnership is often more compelling than friendship. A friend is under no obligation to act in a particular way or manner. In partnership, there is no room to take the other person for granted. Abraham understood this well. He was actively involved in partnership with God, even to the extent that he was willing to sacrifice his only son in obedience to God’s directive. Isn’t it wonderful to note that God offered His only son too, just like Abraham offered Isaac? Isaac was in total submission to the will of his father and Jesus was in total submission to the will of God, His father, even unto death. This theological premise reveals that the partnership between God and Abraham did not just stop at God’s mighty hand of blessings resting upon the life of Abraham. It extended as a blessing to the entire world.

Partnership also makes our lives easier. One biblical example of the benefits of partnerships is when Moses had the tedious work of judging over the entire nation of Israel. Imagine what a herculean task Moses had. It must have been such a tiring duty to sit all day and listen to numerous cases of disagreement between the Israelites. It is evident that Moses continued to struggle under the heavy yoke of having to be the judge in all matters, just as his father-in-law had warned him. Jethro, Moses’ father-in-law, advised Moses to appoint lesser judges, and Moses would only judge the cases that were beyond the capability of the elders that were appointed as judges over the tribes of Israel. In that way, these lesser judges would help Moses with his work and allow Moses to better lead the people. Jethro understood the power of partnership and covenant.
