For many of us women, this is the case. We look great and healthy on the outside, but we are fighting pressures internally–and it’s killing us. This is why it is so important for us to discuss maintaining a balance between the mind and the heart. There are so many things I can touch on, but for this particular post, I’ll start with the importance of marrying your heart and mind together.
In order to find balance, we must direct our mind and our heart towards a consistent goal and as a result, we will set them straight. When you set your heart and your mind to focus on your goals, make sure you don’t lose sight of them. Keep your eyes on the prize and pretty soon your heart and mind will start running towards it together naturally.
Similar to any marriage, there must be chemistry brewing between your heart and your mind. The secret it this: opposite levels of thought must be able to support each other even if they differ. You were not created with a heart and mind just so you could confuse yourself. They both have their different useful roles in your life, the trick is finding that perfect balance between them. The human heart and mind are two strong forces within us. Balancing their power can be difficult but if you think of them as two pieces of the same puzzle, you can start to figure out how they can fit in with each other.
This balance is important to truly experience optimal health. It’s easy to focus on simply following the right diet and taking the proper vitamins. Too many of us forget the importance of our mind and heart, and the impact it has on us. These are some of the ways I remind myself to keep the chemistry brewing between my heart and mind. Romans 12:2 does a beautiful job of summarizing the power of a transformed mind. Feel free to share with me some of your healthy remedies.
